SPA SLABS PERTH

THAT SPA IS GOING TO GET BLOODY HEAVY.

Swim Spas Perth.png

A spa sitting empty in a showroom doesn't look too intimidating.

Fill it with a few thousand litres of water, throw a few people in it and suddenly we're talking about a serious amount of weight sitting in one spot.

That's why I don't treat a spa slab like another little bit of backyard concrete.

For the spa slabs we do, we're generally looking at 150mm thick concrete, 32MPa concrete and SL72 reinforcing mesh, with the mesh properly supported on chairs.(minimum)

Then we've got to think about the actual spa dimensions, where it's sitting, access to the backyard, levels and how we're getting the concrete in there.

Because once that spa turns up, the last thing you want to discover is that the slab underneath it wasn't thought through properly.

Get the base right first. Then bring in the bubbles. 🍻

CAN WE JUST PUT IT ON THE PAVERS?

I get asked this a lot.

“We’ve already got pavers there.”

Or:

“Can we just add a bit of concrete onto what’s already there?”

Sometimes maybe. But here’s the problem.

If the base underneath isn’t right, you’re basically doing the same thing as picking up a floppy piece of pizza and watching all the toppings slide straight off. 😂

The foundation needs to be solid as fuck.

Especially when you’re talking about a spa or swim spa that’s going to weigh a serious amount once it’s full of water and people.

And don’t forget — these things aren’t cheap.

Sometimes they need to be craned into the backyard. You’ve got electricians to organise. Access to think about. Delivery dates. Maybe even other trades involved.

So the last thing I’m interested in doing is taking a shortcut on the slab underneath it.

If we need to remove pavers, dig down properly, prepare the base and pour a purpose-built slab, then that’s what we’ll recommend.

Get the foundation right once, and then enjoy the bloody spa.

ENOUGH TALK, HAVE A LOOK AT OUR WORK

DONT JUST COMPARE OUR PRICES

COME AND COMPARE OUR WORK

We often get asked if customers can go and have a look at some of our finished jobs.

Absolutely! But here's another idea.

Why not come and see us while we're actually doing one?

From time to time, we invite potential customers along to one of our scheduled concrete pours.

Come and meet the boys, say g'day, have a chat and see what goes into getting a job done.

I'll happily walk you through what we're doing, explain a few things and answer any questions you've got about your own project.

No sales pitch. No obligation. Come and decide for yourself.

READY TO GET YOUR POUR SORTED?

Between AI, spam messages and the 40 phone calls a week from people promising to make us number one on Google, we've decided to strip things right back.

No contact forms. No mucking around. Just real people having a conversation.

Got a concrete job in mind? Give Benno a call or flick us a text with your name, suburb, a few photos and rough measurements.

Got plans or drawings to send through? No worries, just call or text and we'll give you our email address.

If we're on the concrete and can't answer, we'll get back to you as soon as we're off the tools.

We'll be onto your message faster than a concreter spots free beer at a BBQ. 🍻
