GRANNY FLAT SLABS PERTH

BLOODY HELL, THESE THINGS HAVE TAKEN OFF.

Over the last three or four years, granny flats have absolutely exploded.

And honestly, I can see why.

Rentals are hard to get, accommodation is tight, kids are hanging around home longer, parents sometimes need somewhere close by, and a lot of people are looking at that bit of backyard thinking:

“Could we actually do something useful with that?”

A granny flat can be a bloody good investment when it’s done properly.

And I actually enjoy these jobs.

There’s something satisfying about watching an empty bit of backyard turn into a proper little home.

But before the walls, roof, kitchen and all the nice stuff goes in, there’s one thing that has to be right first.

The slab.

Because once that slab goes down, the whole build is working off it.

Levels, footings, reinforcement, plumbing, access — it all matters.

Get the slab right and the rest of the build has a bloody good starting point.

SO, WHAT ACTUALLY GOES INTO A GRANNY FLAT SLAB?

More than most people realise.

You’re not just pouring a big rectangle of concrete and hoping the builder can make the rest work around it.

You’ve got footings, thickenings, reinforcement, plumbing penetrations, levels and all the dimensions on the plans that need to line up properly.

Then you’ve got access.

A lot of granny flats are going into backyards where getting machinery and concrete in isn’t exactly straightforward.

That’s where planning the job properly matters.

The slab is the starting point for everything that comes after it.

Walls, doors, plumbing, cabinetry — they’re all working off what we’ve poured.

So this is one of those jobs where I’d rather take the time to get the setup right than create headaches for every trade that follows.

DONT JUST COMPARE OUR PRICES

COME AND COMPARE OUR WORK

We often get asked if customers can go and have a look at some of our finished jobs.

Absolutely! But here's another idea.

Why not come and see us while we're actually doing one?

From time to time, we invite potential customers along to one of our scheduled concrete pours.

Come and meet the boys, say g'day, have a chat and see what goes into getting a job done.

I'll happily walk you through what we're doing, explain a few things and answer any questions you've got about your own project.

No sales pitch. No obligation. Come and decide for yourself.

WANT TO COME AND SAY G'DAY

Give Benno a call or text, and we'll let you know when there's a suitable pour coming up.

READY TO GET YOUR POUR SORTED?

Between AI, spam messages and the 40 phone calls a week from people promising to make us number one on Google, we've decided to strip things right back.

No contact forms. No mucking around. Just real people having a conversation.

Got a concrete job in mind? Give Benno a call or flick us a text with your name, suburb, a few photos and rough measurements.

Got plans or drawings to send through? No worries, just call or text and we'll give you our email address.

If we're on the concrete and can't answer, we'll get back to you as soon as we're off the tools.

We'll be onto your message faster than a concreter spots free beer at a BBQ. 🍻
