Big Breakfast Sundays – Who Does Perth's Best Brekkie? 🍳🥓

After a long week on the concrete, there's nothing I enjoy more than getting up on a Sunday morning and heading out in search of Perth's best big breakfast.

And I'll tell you something. I'm one fussy bugger when it comes to breakfast!

Think Gordon Ramsay judging your cooking, just without all the swearing. 😂

Now, my perfect breakfast isn't complicated.

Bacon, beautiful scrambled eggs, sourdough toast, tomatoes, hash browns, baked beans and mushrooms.

Oh, and hot chilli sauce. But don't worry about supplying that. I bring my own! 🌶️😂

I've probably visited 20 or so breakfast spots around Perth, and I've had plenty of people tell me, "Benno, you've got to try this place!"

Some of them are absolutely packed, but that doesn't always mean the food's any good.

You can tell when someone's taken the time to cook a proper breakfast, and you can certainly tell when something tastes like it's been sitting in a bain-marie waiting for someone to order it.

I'm not interested in fancy presentations or three bits of bacon arranged like a work of art.

I want a decent feed, cooked properly, served hot and worth getting out of bed for!

So far, my number one is Brewed in Thornlie.

Out of everywhere I've tried, these guys are standing out the most. A breakfast I've genuinely enjoyed and somewhere I'm happy to go back to.

But the search is far from over.

I'm willing to travel anywhere around Perth for a seriously good breakfast. North, south, east or west. Doesn't bother me.
